| Until the Groveland Mine north of Iron Mountain closed down the CNW ran the Antoine Turn on a daily basis departing Escanaba a little after 11AM. It went to Iron Mountain and swapped empties for loads with the Milwaukee Road around mid afternoon and then returned to Escanaba in the evening. Normal power was 3 C628's and here is the train of Oct. 22, 1977 departing Escanaba with 6703,6719 and 6709 leading 95 empties. |
