Remarks & Notes
A single GE U30C provides enough muscle to drag a long transfer of cars from Union Pacific's North Yard in Salt Lake City to Rio Grande's Roper Yard in South Salt Lake. The 2850 was built new by GE for the UP in Apr. 1973 and was retired from service in Nov. 1985. During its peak, the UP rostered 90 U30Cs.
