Amtrak's Southwest Chief heads east with the red cliffs of Western New Mexico in the background near Prewitt,NM on December 18, 2011. The next day, and exactly 1 year to the day that this was posted, this area would get blasted by the first of 2 winter storms that dumped over 2 feet of snow in the area, further enhancing the beauty of the scenery in this area.
