Morrison Knudsen rebuilt CLP12 leads a sister unit through Strathfield with the eastbound transcontinental 'Indian Pacific' from Perth to Sydney, only 15 minutes or so from its destination. 1994 was the year that Australian National took over sole responsibility for the operation of this 'Trans-Australia' passenger train, and from January that year deployed its newly-rebuilt, ex-CL Class locomotives onto the train.
