Railroad archeology courtesy of Mother Nature. BNSF's former NP "Shortline" mainline into Duluth hangs high the day after record rainfall blew out a culvert (seen in the distance). The old pilings from when this was a bridge can bee seen as well as the black cinder-like material used as fill, one reason it might have been easy to wash out. BNSF has not yet repaired this line yet, leaving a single shipper stranded and having to use trucks.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
