Action at Grand Junction Union Pacific’s Rio Grande Heritage locomotive No. 1989 is on the point of a Operation Lifesaver passenger special at Grand Junction, Colorado, and is getting fueled up for another day’s trips on the morning of June 15, 2009. On the left is a westbound BNSF freight with a nice, clean GE Dash 9 on the point, waiting for a new crew. And in the middle of it all and also heading west is UP’s Landmark Local powered by two EMD GP40-2s.
