Today was the inaugural run of the new Amtrak service between Washington DC and Norfolk, VA. Heritage engine #156 is leading the parade of cars with dignitaries from CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Amtrak across the James River Trestle in route to Petersburg, VA where the train will interchange with the NS lines just north of Collier Yard. December 2012.
