A quartet of new GE C44-9Ws in “Heritage I” paint lead a westbound unit grain train No. G09 just east of Summit, Montana, on the afternoon of October 8, 1996. Autumn colors are reaching the peak over Marias Pass on this particular year, and the sunny weather sure was wonderful too.
