Remarks & Notes
Christmas Train arrives downtown Greenville. The line to the right is the Blacklands RR former Cotton Belt "Commerce Branch" line that ran from Fort Worth to Mount Pleasant, Texas. This line was washed out from a flood in May 1990 near Wylie TX from the Lake Lavon dam that could not contain the excessive rain that year. SP never rebuilt the line even after receiving a large check from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
