An eastbound coal train lead by new SD70ACe No. 9174 grinds through the horseshoe curve west of Belmont over Nebraska’s Crawford Hill on the morning of July 12, 2008. Soon, the head end, which is climbing in the background, will curve by Windy Point, while the DPU and helpers will pass by in the foreground. Big coal trains and gravity here can make for a good show . . .
