| MUNI car 1059 rambles by the famous Boudin Bakery on the Embarcadero at Fisherman's Wharf. No U.S. city has had longer or more varied experience with PCC streetcars than Boston. From the delivery of its first streamliner in 1937 until the present day, PCCs have been a part of the Beantown scene. MUNI 1059, built in 1948 by St. Louis Car, is painted to commemorate the Boston Elevated Railway Company era of PCC operation in Boston. |
