| Downtown Bryson City is all decked out for the fall tourist season as a surprisingly well patronized weekday train rolls in from the Nantahala Gorge after sunset. The conductor eyes the approaching platform and in just a moment a trainload of passengers will descend upon the town looking for dinner or a souvenir before hitting the road. In another hour, the GP's will be shut down and main street of this little town of 1300 will be quiet once again. |
