A rarely visited location in Merrimac, VA situated at the top of the grueling grade that starts at Whitethorne hosts eastbound loaded coal drag 762 struggling to keep the train rolling with the gorgeous Interstate heritage unit on the point. The crest of the hill is just ahead at Merrimac Tunnel which is a little over one mile in length.
