A pair of touched up New England Central Railroad GP38s lead a 5-car office car special on the last leg of the day from White River Junction, VT to New London, CT. The train had been used earlier in the day to transport various RailAmerica and Genesee & Wyoming executives, along with Federal Railroad Administration Administrator Joe Szabo, various government leaders, and representatives from all the organizations that completed the first ARRA HSR grain "On time, On Budget".
Although most only provide freight service, regional railroads have passenger operations; not only executive trains but also charity events and excursions.
