Crowds gather to watch as the crew of the CEAR weekly Makhanga to Limbe passenger train re-rail locomotive 520 after it has come off on the wye at Sankhulani station. After an hour here they were able to move the engine and the train went forward only an hour or so late... However just 5 miles later two coaches derailed at speed and caused the train to be over 12 hours late at its destination.
Incidentally this engine is powered by the rare 8 cylinder ALCO 251 power unit - surely the last place on earth they are in regular revenue earning service.
