Photos along Rowland Lake, halfway between Lyle and Bingen in the Columbia Gorge, are only available during a few weeks of the summer solstace. While the eastbound Portland Empire Builder usually clears freights for hours here, the Baby Builder is hours late leaving Portland this afternoon, allowing this combination vehicle-Z train to head east to Pasco.
