Three new Southern Pacific GE Dash 9-44CWs climb Byron Hill with a taconite ore train on a bright autumn day in Wisconsin on October 27, 1994. For a brief time in this era, Wisconsin Central and SP jointly operated these ore trains from Minnesota’s Iron Range to Geneva Steel in Utah.
