Remarks & Notes

Completed in December 2010, this Progress Rail PR43C still has that showroom shine as it sits in a siding in downtown Jesup, just down the road from the Progress Locomotive Shop in Patterson where she was rebuilt. A cooperative effort between NS & Progress, these locos are unique in that they have a dual engine configuration. Primary engine is a Caterpillar C-175, rated at 3600 HP, and a secondary engine, a Caterpillar C-18, rated at 700 HP. Both work in tandem to power the locomotive...
