| Once a busy connection line for the Western Maryland to it's connection with the Reading Railroad at Shippensburg, The Lurgan Sub was almost abandoned until CSX decided to build it's main Mid Atlantic Intermodal Terminal just south of Chambersburg, PA. Now this section of steel sees up to four intermodal trains a day plus a local that runs from Hagerstown, MD to Chambersburg and back. The whole line was at one point doubletrack |
