In July 2012, the Strasburg Railroad has been running early morning steam powered freight trains. To the best of my knowledge it is one of the only places in the United States where you can see a revenue freight runs pulled by steam on a regular basis (at least for the summer months). While the summer sun is not oriented for side-lit photography, it is perfectly oriented for back-lit and glint scenes. Here Strasburg No. 90 is coupling up to a caboose for its trip to Leaman Place Junction to pick up several cars of freight. This was captured at 6:20am, just after sunrise.
