Remarks & Notes
110 is a 2-6-6-2 under a full head of hissing steam as it goes over the nearby creek. It has left the station and is beginning the climb up the 4%-6% grade out of Hill City, South Dakota, the infamous Tin Mill Hill. The engine makes lots of noise and smoke as it goes. The 110 is a Baldwin 2-6-6-2T Mallet, built 1928, and the last operating model of its type.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
