Three new Southern Pacific GE Dash 9-44CWs take a taconite ore train through the Wisconsin marshes and is about to cross Highway 28 at Theresa on October 29, 1994. This was a joint taconite ore train operated by Wisconsin Central/SP from the Minnesota iron range to Geneva Steel at Provo, Utah. It was also unique in that the return trip also brought western coal to the midwest in the same cars, minimizing empty car hauls.
