| Rare Bird. EMD built only 31 GP28s in the mid-1960s. One of the twelve built for the Illinois Central now enjoys a quiet retirement on Cape Cod. Here she spends the night in Hyannis yard in anticipation of tomorrow's tourist-hauling duties for sister road Cape Cod Central. At right is CCCX's award-winning dinner train, which #2009 will likely power the following evening. |
