Broad gauge (7 ft 1/4 in/ 2140 mm) steamlocomotive "North Star" of the Great Western Railway (GWR) Star class, built in 1837 by Robert Stephenson. This non working replica was built in 1923 with some parts of the original locomotive and is exhibited in the "Steam" museum in Swindon. In front of the locomotive, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, genius English mechanical and civil engineer, builder of the Great Western Railway. This railway was built in broad gauge, but converted to standard gauge between 1854 and 1892.
