Remarks & Notes
D&RGW Train #2, the "Royal Gorge," led by F-7 5574 near Cotopaxi has been reduced to two cars on it's daily run back to Denver from Salida, Colo. on March 12, 1967. The continental divide dominates the background as the train follows the Arkansas River, including up ahead through its namesake Royal Gorge. The train was discontinued four months later on July 28, 1967.
