| Rural Georgia! After exploring this rarely covered NS Branchline on Sunday I was bound and determined to catch some action on this old Savannah & Atlanta (S&A) line which sees 3 locals and a weekly unit rock train. I was able to capture NS 66W which almost runs the whole line (Waynesboro-Warrenton) to the Marin- Marietta Rock Quarry in Warrenton. Here we see an old veteran SD60, NS 6627, along with NS 9188 pull 65 carloads of crushed stone across some cotton fields and past an old and abandoned cotton shed in the rural town of Gibson, Georgia. |
