Near the end of its life, Baldwin hybrid 1506 is MU'ed with 6715 on the dumper job at Wells. After a morning of pulling loads and spotting them at the dumper shed and then kicking out b/o's and building two empty trains, the units had just shoved 50 more loads up to the dumper and were now heading for the roundhouse. The brakeman enjoys a little breeze on 1506 on what had become a hot, sticky, summer afternoon. The 1506 was retired on Feb. 17, 1981.
This will be photos that were taken north of Green Bay on the C&NW ore lines. Mainly photos of ore trains will be in this album along with some manifest trains and switch jobs that worked the area.
