| UP's American President Lines to Los Angeles stack train departs the Salt Lake City metro area at Buena Vista. This 135 platform stacker is westbound on the former Western Pacific mainline as viewed from the Bangerter Highway overpass at 40th West. The hyper ballasted right of way (at left) is property of the Salt Lake Garfield & Western Railway, an area short line serving the Morton Salt Plant at 72nd West and the Salt Lake International Center at 56th West. |
