Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific's hottest westbound train, the Super Van, is stopped for a crew change at Milford, Utah. Two EMD DDA40X and a single SD40-2 'fast forty' will soon depart for the next crew change in Las Vegas. Note the 10 Alpha Beta piggyback trailers on the head end of this expedited train. The Belmont family was in search of UP E9s on this day, but managed to catch some awesome freight activity as well. Still in high school, I was but 17 years of age at the time.
