Remarks & Notes
Reportedly the last EMD SW1001 ever built (April 1985), IPPX #1 basks in the afternoon sunlight at the Intermountain Power Railcar Service Center in Springville, Utah. The attractively painted switcher was ordered from EMD with all the whistles and bells, including an air conditioned cab for $750,000.
