Remarks & Notes |
Wildcat loadout on the Utah Ry. in eastern Utah has resumed operations after a several month shutdown. Shown here is UTAH #5004 shortly after beginning the loading process.
#5004 is a very rare MK5000 model, and the Utah Ry has the only 6 operational examples. The 5 shown here are all painted in the traditional gray and red scheme. #5005 is painted in the Genesee &Wyoming orange. When loading is finished the head end power will cut off from the loaded train and run back down the adjacent main line and then couple up to the formerly rear end. Then, after an air test, the train will depart for Martin yard about 5 miles away where the 6 unit set of swing helpers will be added.
