| In May of 1984, SP 4-8-4 4449 was given a matching "Daylight" 13-car consist and sent on a trip from Portland, OR to New Orleans, LA for the 1984 Louisiana World's Fair. The sun popped out for a few minutes as the train got a big sendoff (Cheerleaders and balloons!). The number "9" in the train indicator board is for Train No. 9 -- the southbound "Shasta Daylight." |
