Remarks & Notes

A pair of Southern Pacific GP9s switch cars at Martinez, California, in late April 1971. SP 3609 is the former SP 5768, and 3602 (still wearing its old "Black Widow" colors) was built as SP 5761. Both engines were built in March 1957.
