| A Union Pacific switch crew adds Superliner cars from the inbound Desert Wind and Pioneer trains (from Los Angeles & Seattle) to the Chicago bound California Zephyr in Salt Lake City. All of this open space is gone now, occupied by the Gateway Mall development. Union Pacific SW10 #1236 would today be parked on the first floor of the Fidelity Investments business tower! Any guesses as to the function of the elevated wood platform on the power pole? |
