In the shadow of the Bear Mountain bridge, a southbound CSX freight is exiting the tunnel under the Fort Montgomery State Historic Site and crossing Popolopen Creek, as it makes its way along the west shore of the Hudson River. The Route 9W bridge and the Fort Montgomery Visitor Centre are visible in the background. It was great to return to this location after 22 years since my last visit!
