Todays Vermonter with Amtrak engine 102 has just crossing the Connecticut River is now in Bellows, Falls, Vermont. Four cars back and still in New Hampshire is Amtrak 110 on the tail.
The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
