June of 1996, there was no place better to see new SP power at work. The fleet of new AC4400s was almost exclusively assigned to Colorado and Utah service. A storm rages over the Plains as SP204 lifts its empty train up the 2% back to the mines. It was a great time to be a fan in Colorado.
