Pacing Steam! SOU 630 chugs along Highway 11 as it heads South towards Chattanooga from Knoxville, after spending a couple days running private excursions for the Lexington Group. This was a public excursion from Knoxville to Chattanooga that was unfortunately delayed time after time en route until finally South of Athens, the dispatcher made the call for SOU 630 to be taken off and power from the Cleveland Local brought up to finally bring the passenger coaches to Chattanooga. This was my first time ever witnessing real, live steam, and this was ultimately an unforgettable experience! Gas for the trip- $100, Breakfast & Lunch- $20, Pacing a 107 year old Southern 2-8-0 Steam locomotive...PRICELESS!1/10th Pan.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
Pace and pan shots of trains from on the ground or in the air. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.
