Remarks & Notes
The last 30 miles of the Empire Builder route features fantastic scenery as the train follows the shoreline of Puget Sound from Everett to Seattle. It's a beautiful winter day with seagulls feasting on herring and Mount Baker looming in the background as the train approaches the station stop at Edmonds. Amtk #7-17 had their trailing unit fail en-route to Seattle so Burlington Northern is helping out by lending them a locomotive allowing the train to maintain its schedule over the Cascade Mountains. Today this train will be on time into King Street Station.
