Remarks & Notes

It is nearing 6 pm on a warm June evening in Central Montana. Flood detours are making for a parade of trains climbing the Continental Divide. The 8 locomotives of this train could be heard almost 40 minutes before appearing here on the Viaduct. I could think of no better place to observe the parade....
