Remarks & Notes |
B&M 1576 and 1575 plus a third GP-7 idle at Concord Engine Terminal on a warm spring weekend. The squared portion of the long hood noses was for train lighting equipment for their original assignments, heading on commuter trains out of North Station. They were displaced by RDC's in the mid 1950's. These Geeps pooled with RS-3's and F-units on locals and secondary routes. Later they were mixed in with newer, but higher mileage GP-9's on the Hoosac tunnel route.
