Like many fellow railfans, when on vacation with family, I get up early and head on down to tracks. In the case of this image, I was still vacationing with my parents, as I caught Amtrak 152 in the thick morning fog. The Old Saybrook wooden interlocking tower, which looked nicely restored, was later torn down.
