| Sweet light, sweet train. After a few hour stay at the former Gateway Western yard in East St. Louis, KCS's beautiful A-B-A southern belle F units are on the move back to Kansas City. The train made the journey along the GWWR to check out the new upgrades to the stretch of UP trackage where Amtrak will be permitted to run 110 miles per hour. This shot was cutting it close; in another 15 minutes, the sun would be completely under the horizon. |
