100 degrees and barley 9:30am. Even in the shade it was miserably hot. I ended up driving around kind of disjointed trying to find a place to rail fan before work where the police or business people don't think I'm dealing drugs.
This is Mt. Winan's yard, or what is left of it. On the right piles of ties from the tracks. There are a few rails left though. At it's height, Mt. Winan's yard had a direct connection with the Hanover subdivision. If one were to hike in Morrel Park, the tracks still exist. Trains will often hold here, but even if all three tracks are full, trains can detour via the Mt. Claire branch and through Mt. Claire yard.
