| It took two years of waiting for the opportunity to get back to the summit of Holum Pass, but when I finally was able to set up there once again I couldn't have arranged for better light. Storms roll off to the east as DPR-1 and two sisters thunk into dynamics, beginning the descent to 8 Mile with 44 coal loads in trail. The red rock of the distant cliff is a vivid contrast to the muted greens and browns that dominate this arid landscape. Photo from railroad property taken with permission. |
