| CSX had this Gradall excavator working one of the tracks between CP150 and the Pittsfield Yard spreading stone. The Gradall machines are perfect for railroads, due to the telescoping boom and its ability to angle the bucket. This not only gives it the ability to work in low profile areas (such as in tunnels and under bridges) but also dig along the sides of banks and trenches while still being on the rails. This particular machine also has the ability to drive over the road at speeds of up to 60 mph. |
