The Utah Transit Authority is using a Trackmobile 'Titan' to move loaded ballast hoppers along its new SLC to Provo commuter rail line. The 'Titan', measuring just over 16 feet in length is powered by a Cummins 4 cycle, 6 cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 260 HP and 49,500 ft-lbs. of torque when double coupled. The 45 mile Salt Lake City to Provo construction project is under the direction of Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. and is scheduled to open in 2012.
