| This is a going away shot of a LRS train with one of the old SW1's tagging along the rear. I'm not sure about the history of the unit, and though it doesn't wear G&O black like most of the rest of the units on this shortline, it is lettered for the Knoxville Locomotive Works, a G&O property. I'm assuming this unit is used as a plant switcher at the Pilkington Float Glass plant the train had just left. I don't know if the unit retains its original 600 HP EMD 567 or if KLWX has repowered the unit. Please comment if you have any further info of the unit! |
