Fifty three years after being delivered to the South African Railways from the USA, this class 31 Bo-Bo (GE U12B) survives in service with Sheltam, but rebuilt with a low short hood. Previously Sheltam # 22 (see photo ID 340514), she was overhauled in 2010 and renumbered 1202. She is seen here hauling waste from a dump near Harmony's No.2 shaft, to the exchange siding with Harmony Gold. The building in the right background is the former Harmony locomotive shed.
