| The Guard checks for stragglers before closing the doors and giving a 2-bell signal to the driver to leave Birkenhead for Liverpool.
This was a lucky shot for a few reasons. Since the 7/7 London bombings, all photography is banned in underground stations without permission. With no exeption. Flash is a no-no, so a time exposure is needed - difficult without the attention-grabbing tripod!
Notice the girl on the right waiting for an Ellesmere Port train. She is watching a drunken fool make a miraculous recovery, when it seemed he was going to fall back onto the running lines. Never a dull day in Merseyside..... |
